When you have little kids, it's safe to say that many of your days are spent in survival mode; especially if they are babies. While being a parent to little ones is extremely fulfilling, it also requires a lot of gear to make sure that both you and them are as comfortable as possible at all times. In addition to having things like a crib, a stroller, and car seats, don't forget about your biggest parenting tool: your car.

When you go shopping for a new car at a dealership in your area, there are a few family-friendly accessories and tools to look for.

Third Row Seating

If you have more than one kid, then you know how critical it can be sometimes to keep some distance between them; especially as they get bigger and start to fight more. One great option to look for when you're shopping around for a newer family-friendly car is a car that has third-row seating; that way you can create enough space between all of your kiddos so that everyone enjoys the ride. If you can, try to look for a car that has captain seating, which means that the middle row of seats has two separate captain seats with an aisle between them.

DVD Player

Even though you may have always dreamt of being the parent who wouldn't allow your kids to sit in front of a TV, sometimes you just need a little bit of distraction, and having a DVD player built into your car is a great way to keep everyone happy and occupied on long road trips. When you have one built into the car, your kids won't have the option of fighting over things like tablets or phones, which makes it even more ideal.

Leather Seats

Cloth seats are nice if you're trying to save money, but they might as well be forbidden when you have little kids. In between things like juice boxes and fruit snacks, cloth seats will hardly last a week without getting a stain on them. When you have leather seats, you can wipe them down immediately after your kids spill on them without anyone ever noticing that there was anything there in the first place.

Having a car that's accommodating to you and your kids is a must when you are a parent. To learn more, reach out to a car dealer such as a Hyundai dealer in your area.
